Common Name: Silver-rag driftfish
Description: The body is long, bluish on the dorsum, silvery on the sides and on the venter. The scales are large, cycloid, no more than two rows between the dorsal fin and the lateral line. The caudal peduncle is narrow with two keels on each side. It feeds mainly on small crustaceans.
Habitat: Demersal. It occurs mostly in muddy funds along the continental shelf at depths between 50 and 500 meters.
Color: Bluish on the dorsum, silvery on the sides and on the venter.
Dimensions: Up to 30 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Western Atlantic Eastern Atlantic
