Common Name: Brown driftfish
Description: The caudal peduncle is narrow with two keels on each side. The body is long, bluish on the dorsum. The sides are only slightly lighter than the dorsum, and it's sometimes silver in the venter. The scales are cycloid and smaller than in Ariomma bondi , having at least three rows of scales between the dorsal fin and the lateral line. It feeds mainly on small crustaceans.
Habitat: It inhabits deep waters, usually in soft bottoms. It occurs at depths between 180 and 600 meters.
Color: Bluish and silver.
Dimensions: Up to 30 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Western Atlantic Eastern Atlantic
