Common Name: Harpoon weed
Description: Fronds with a central irregularly branched axis, over which it inserts four sets of branches. Certain simple branches presents curved spines that allows algae to fix under the frond of other seaweeds. Anual species.
Habitat: Infralittoral, forming quite dense facies.
Color: Pinkish-red fronds.
Dimensions: The fronds set recalls a pyramidal shape that can reach 30 meters high.
