| Description: | Very long and compressed fish. Head profile convex or almost straight, with very high sagittal crest. The lower jaw is longer than the upper. The dorsal fin has a few weak anterior spines that barely differ from the soft rays, dorsal fin composed of 116 to 123 soft rays, anal fin with 2 spines and 74-87 soft rays. |
