Common Name: Razorback scabbardfish
Description: Very long and compressed fish. Head profile convex or almost straight, with very high sagittal crest. The lower jaw is longer than the upper. The dorsal fin has a few weak anterior spines that barely differ from the soft rays, dorsal fin composed of 116 to 123 soft rays, anal fin with 2 spines and 74-87 soft rays.
Habitat: Benthopelagic. Occurs at depths between 150 and 400 meters.
Color: Silver body, black dorsal fin membrane above the 3 rd - 4 th ray soft.
Dimensions: Up to 250 centimeters in standard length.
Geographical Distribution: Atlantic Ocean Indian Ocean Pacific Ocean
