Common Name: Northern stargazer
Description: The top of the head and body are olive brown, with small white dots evenly distributed which become larger on the sides and towards the tail. The spiny dorsal fin is black. The soft dorsal fin is light beige, with four narrow brown to black areas. The caudal fin has three brown to black longitudinal areas. It has electric organs located in a specialized pouch behind the eyes.
Habitat: Demersal, inhabiting depths of up to 36 meters.
Color: Olive brown.
Dimensions: Up to 59 centimeters in total lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Western Atlantic
