| Description: | Dab with eyes on the right side of the body. The mouth is large with the jaw to extend up to the back of the eye. It has 92 to 109 dorsal soft rays and 72-90 anal soft rays. The dorsal fin has origin above the center of the eye. The tail fin is slightly moon in and chest are small. The lateral line is nearly straight. |
| Habitat: | Demersal. Found on soft bottoms at depths between 18 and 950 meters. |
| Color: | Ocular brown side ; scales slightly darker at the edges. The side "blind" is mostly white with dark spots. |
