Common Name: Hardhead silverside
Description: It has dark pigmentation on the dorsum and a silver band on the flanks. The head is distinctly wider than the body (top view). It has two dark bands along the lower portion of the body. In large adults, the caudal fin has black lobes. It feeds on zooplankton.
Habitat: Found over soft bottoms and coral reefs.
Dimensions: Up to 10 centimeters in lenght.
Geographical Distribution: Western Atlantic Southeast Pacific
