Common Name: Jack silverside
Description: Long fish with two dorsal fins. Dorsal fin consisting of 6-10 spines and 11-14 soft rays; anal fin with 1 spine and 21-26 soft rays. It has no lateral line. The pelvic fins are abdominal.
Habitat: Neritic pelagic. Adults inhabit coastal areas, including bays.
Color: Greenish blue on the dorsum with a silver band on the flanks; silvery on the lower body.
Dimensions: Up to 54 centimeters in total lenght.
