| Description: | Bright blue fish with a yellow stripe from the snout through the eye, extending along the dorsum. It is laterally compressed. The soft portions of the dorsal, anal and caudal fins are rounded, the operculum has two or three distinct spines, and the margin of the pre-operculum has one to four spines. It is a nocturnal predator that leaves its hiding place at night to feed. |
