Common Name: Saddled Butterflyfish, Saddleback Butterflyfish
Description: Yellowish-gray with a large black spot of white edges on the back, and blue lines on the bottom side. Adults have a filament that extends from the top of the soft portion of the dorsal fin, and have reddish-orange markings on the caudal peduncle and on the posterior portion of the dorsal fin that are not present in juveniles.
Habitat: Reefs adjacent to the coast, reef lagoons, reef plains, reef ridges, frontal reef slopes at depths between 1 and 30 meters.
Color: Yellowish gray.
Dimensions: Up to 23 centimeters.
