Common Name: Dusky grouper
Description: Rounded caudal fin on young and truncated with rounded corners on adults, bordered with a white side.
Habitat: Rocky infra and circalittoral depths (until 200 m); it has sedentary habits, it frequents caves or rock's cavities.
Color: Brown back with yellow or greyish stains, yellowish abdomen. On adults, the colour can be more uniform.
Dimensions: It may reaches 1 m in length.
Geographical Distribution: Atlantic Ocean
