Common Name: Sicklefin devil ray
Description: Large ray with a large head supporting small cephalic fins; upper disc densely covered with small sharp spines. The tail lacks spines and is shorter then the disc. It has no tail fin.
Habitat: Associated with reefs, inhabiting depths between 0 and 30 meters.
Color: Dark blue, olive green to brownish on the dorsal surface; anteriorly white and posteriorly gray ventral surface, with an uneven line of demarcation.
Dimensions: It reaches 328 centimeters in width.
Geographical Distribution: Indian Ocean Western Pacific Western Atlantic Eastern Atlantic
