| Habitat: | Infralittoral rocky depths (1 m to 20 m), often on rock's cavities, near to vertical walls,i.e., on locals with attenuated luminosity. |
| Color: | Territorial males have dark heads and first dorsals; the rest of the body is bright-yellow. A dark stain on the source of the caudal, in a characteristical shape. Non territorial female and male are greyish, with dark vertical sides. |
